완전초보 영어첫걸음 - sweep '빗자루, 손으로 쓸다 / (유행이) 휩쓸다'

오늘 함께 공부할 영어회화 표현은 sweep 입니다. sweep의 뜻은 '(방 등을 빗자루로) 쓸다, 청소하다, 손으로 쓸다,손으로 털다 / 거칠게 휩쓸다, 휘몰아치다, (유행이) 급속도로 퍼지다' 라는 의미의 표현이에요. 동사형, 명사형 모두 sweep 이구요, 예를 들어 "바닥 쓸었니?" 라고 한다면 "Did you sweep the floor?" 라고 할 수 있어요. 또 '일본에서 한류 열풍이 거세게 불고 있다.' 는 영어로 'The Korean wave is sweeping Japan.' 이렇게 말할 수 있겠습니다. sweep 표현이 들어간 좀더 다양한 영어회화 예문들 함께 공부해보도록 하겠습니다.
