오늘의 영어공부는
날씨 관련 영어표현들 입니다

 

한국은 요즘 굉장히 춥고
눈이 많이 내리고 있죠?
영어로 어떻게 표현할까요?

 

 

다양한 날씨 이야기
영어로 함께 말해 볼게요

 

 

1. 날씨 질문하기

 

-오늘 날씨 어때요?
How is the weather today?
How is the weather outside today?

-오늘 일기예보는 어때?
What is the weather forecast today?

 

(예시 답변: The weather forecast called for a sunny day
일기예보에서 오늘 날씨 좋다고 했어
Judging from the look of the sky, it will rain soon
하늘을 보니 곧 비올거 같아)

 

-그곳 날씨는 어때?
What is the weather like there?
-내일 날씨 어때?
What will be the weather like tomorrow?
-어떤 날씨를 제일 좋아해?
What kind of weather do you like best?

 

 

2. 비 Rain

 

-비가 완전 많이 내려
It's raining cats and dogs
It's pouring now
-비가 부슬부슬 오고 있어
It's drizzling
-어제 나 비맞았어 
I was caught in the rain yesterday
-지금 우기라서 비가 자주 와
It's raining often because it's rainy season
-우산챙겨
Take your umbrella when you go outside
-오늘은 강수확률 (비올확률) 0% 야
There's an 0% change of rain today
-곧 폭풍이 올거야
It will be stormy

3. 눈 Snow / 겨울 날씨

 

-밖에 눈오고 있어?
Is it snowing out now?
-눈 많이 내려, 함박눈 내려 
Heavy snow is falling
The snow falls fast
-어제 눈이 하루종일 왔어
It snowed all day yesterday
-눈이 조금 왔어
There's a bit of snow
-얼어죽겠어!
It's freezing!
-안개꼈어
It's foggy
-안개가 걷혔어
The fog lifted

 

 

4.날씨가 안좋을때

 

-오늘 날씨가 흐리네, 꾸물꾸물하네,  
It's nasty day 
It's gloomy day 
It seems to be cloudy today

-오늘 날씨 정말 변덕스러워 
The weather is so unpredictable today  
-요즘 일교차가 너무 심해
Temperature gap between day and night is so big thesedays
-기온이 뚝 떨어졌어
The temperature was dropped
-오늘 좀 쌀쌀해 
It's chilly a bit today

 

 

5. 날씨가 정말 좋을때

-오늘날씨 정말 좋아 
It's very fine today!

What a lovely weather today!
-따뜻하고 바람이 거의 안부네
It's warm and barely windy
-나들이 가기 너무 좋은 날씨야
It's a wonderful day for a picnic today!
-오늘 집안에만 있기에는 너무 아까운 날씨야 
This is too find a day to be indoors today

 

 

 

 

6. 여름 날씨

 

-정말 더워 / 푹푹 찐다 / 숨막히듯 더워
It's terrily hot
What a scorcher!
It's boiling hot!!
It's ridiculously hot!
It's wicked hot
It's hot as well
It's sizzling
It's sweltering

I'm burning up
I'm boiling

 

-(어떤 곳에 들어갔을때) 여기 진짜 덥다!!
It's suffocating in here!
It's like a sauna in here!

-후덥지근하다
It's hot and humid today
-이번주 폭염주의보야
